George is an entrepreneur who has built businesses in manned space flight, online dating, transportation and mobile apps. He is one of the minds behind the internationally successful taxi hailing app HAILO – the world’s largest taxi app. Hailo operates in 18 cities across 6 countries. George joined as one of the first employees, helping to grow the company to over 220 people, and hundreds of millions in revenue. HAILO is one of London’s fastest growing startups, having raised more than $70 million in venture financing from Accel, USV, Atomico and Wellington Partners.

George studied rocket science and economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and business at the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris. He was Chairman of MIT’s Enterprise Forum in the UK and is heavily involved in the UK and US startup scenes. George now divides his time between London and Silicon Valley.

George is the author of the brand new book ‘How to Build a Billion Dollar App’ (publisher Little, Brown Books, part of the Hachette Book Group). He is currently working on a new mobile startup called IceCream. He advises numerous startups, and works as an advisor to Techstars and Seedcamp.
